The majority of real hair wigs are made up of Asian hair, and most of the wigs came from chin, basically, most of the high quality hair comes from India and Pakistan. The quality of hair that comes from these places are thick, soft and black, so as to best use in making straight black hair, though in case of curly hair it takes several steps of bleaching process. It is best to find European real hair wig so, that to feel like natural hair, with fine texture.

Real hair wigs are very much friendly to the skin as it breathes so that, it will not going to affect much more to the scalp. Another variety of wigs are Synthetic hair wigs, these are mostly used by so many people, and hence they are having different styles, for example the wigs that are used in some shows and theme parties like Halloween, in which lower quality fiber is used, these wigs are cheap and look like a wig. It is not for everyday usage, and for everyday use you need a wig that looks natural. All the designers use high quality fiber for the Synthetic wigs that looks very glamorous and also very beautiful to have as this is mainly used by the celebrities and also by the designers as it looks very realistic and also very expensive.

Remy hair comes from India and Europe as they are soft in texture and also as taken good care by them, as it can be fine textured and also styled in a way that it completely looks natural because it is made up of real hair and also adds style to it. Synthetic hair extensions are little not manageable, nor as soft as real hair; this is made from fake hair, and needs more care to manage, as this requires styling tools to manage and to prevent it from over-heating and this used for many purposes as sometimes, it is really hard to afford Remy hair extension, so this can be use in that case. This is all about hair extensions as these are the requirement of today’s modern society and also to keep the style status alive.

Benefits of Human Hair Wigs

If you really want to wear a wig that looks entirely authentic, you may want to look at the human hair wigs. They are made with 100 percent human hair and give the appearance of being a lot more realistic compared to the wigs made with synthetic materials. Plus, they have a similar natural texture and luster, and will get windblown, messy, or frizzy when outside in the less than favorable weather conditions much like normal hair.

Here are several practical benefits of the human hair wigs:

Looks natural

The wigs in human hair are able to look completely natural and appear very smooth and glossy. Plus, the touch of the natural hair is better and feels exactly the same as real hair. Synthetic wigs can feel quite dry and hard when touched.

Different designs

Whether the preferred look is layered, shaggy, short, or long, these wigs can easily be styled to match a specific look. This is much the same as having a full head of hair with design options that are virtually limitless. This type of wig is very easy to style and can be crimped, curled, flat-ironed, or blow-dried. Plus, there is the possibility of coloring the hair, which is perfect for those looking to undergo a complete change in style.

Replace own hair

If you regret a short haircut the human hair wigs can make a perfect short-term solution until the natural hair has grown to a more acceptable length. Alternatively, for those that have lost their hair as a result of health issues, such as chemotherapy treatment, the wig gives some of the confidence back and makes it easier to get back to enjoying day-to-day activities. Once the natural hair has grown back, you can simply stop wearing it.

Are there any disadvantages

Even though there are plenty of reasons to choose the natural wigs ahead of the synthetic alternatives, there are also several disadvantages that might be worth mentioning. For instance, the human hair wigs are much the same as real hair in humid weather and can start to curl or fizz. The color of the hair can start to fade when exposed to strong sunlight, although some users might prefer this natural color change. Plus, the hair is less resilient and more likely to break after repeated heat styling, back-combing, or general harsh brushing.

Overall, the look and style of the wig is entirely based on personal preference, but for those wishing to maintain the most natural experience; wigs in natural hair are the most desirable option.

Does Going Bald Mean You Lose Your Looks?

According to The Times, 63% of men report that hair loss or balding has negatively affected their careers. There are plenty of things you can do about hair loss, but the permanent solutions are painful and all solutions are costly. I would like to take a look behind the statistics. What is it about hair loss that has a negative effect on our careers? Yale’s Daniel Hamermesh conducted a study, “Beauty in the Labor Market.” He found that people with above average looks typically received premiums in pay of 5% or more, and that less attractive people “suffered a salary penalty of up to 9%.”

Does the hair loss problem have to do with your looks? Your hair is the frame of your face, we often use our hair style to create the perfect shaped face or as close to it as we can. Not all faces need to be framed, if you have a naturally oval shaped face, or something close to it then you probably don’t need hair at all and you are best to shave it all off. Take a look at Vin Deisel for example.

What are the disadvantages of going totally bald? If you do choose to shave it off, and you have pale skin and dark hair, you are going to look somewhat funny as the contrast with your scalp and your hair will give your head an odd look. I recommend to anyone in this predicament to get a good sun tan, the tanned scalp will lessen the contrast between hair stubble and your scalp. Now, just so I don’t get sued by someone who gets skin cancer I am going to put in this disclaimer, you can get a fake tan, it works just as well.

The first thing to do when you start to go bald is to cut you hair short. If you have long locks, it is time to get rid of them. I know this is going to break your heart, but you are just going to have to bite the bullet on this one. There is only one thing worse than a balding hippy, and that is the comb over.

Do not comb over under any circumstance, it doesn’t actually fool anyone, and it just makes you look even uglier. (I don’t know why I have to say this it is so obvious, but clearly I do, just look at Donald Trump). In fact, I would go so far as to suggest you avoid any combing over by brushing your hair away from the bald spot. It will leave you with a bigger bald spot granted, but you won’t be accused of combing over. I have had some people say, “I am not combing over I have always combed my hair this way.” Still a comb over, no excuses, change your hair style.

If you are balding on top but still have a fairly good hair line, you can look just as attractive as you would otherwise by getting the perfect hair style, as you may still have enough hair to create the frame for your face.

What you shouldn’t do is let the hair that you have left, grow too thickly, as this gives your head a weird shape, just ask George Castanza. Cut your hair as short as possible, and keep it trimmed and tidy, up the haircuts to once every 3 weeks, and invest in some hair clippers, a good pair of scissors and some practice at using them in the mirror (it’s just like driving in reverse gear, it takes a little practice), as you will need to keep your hair very tidy and a small trim every week may be necessary. Just trim the hair around your ears, trim your side burns, and shave the back of your neck, this should keep you looking good until your next trip to the hair dresser.

Keep your hair longer at the back, not too long so it looks like you’re an aging hippy, just long enough to make it looks like you have more than three inches of hair between your bald spot and your neck. If you have a long face and receding hairline, you may want to consider growing a beard; this will shorten the length of your face and give you a more balanced and attractive look. You will need to make sure your beard is neatly trimmed to show people you are not just being lazy. This look is not for everyone, because it could make you look much older.

If all else fails hair transplants might be the only option, but what I am trying to say is that losing your hair doesn’t necessarily mean you are losing your looks. It may be that you look just as attractive without hair or it may mean you need to do your hair differently. But when all is said and done, we only live once, there is no point going through the rest of our life being descriminated against because of our looks.

Maintaing Your Hair Extensions for Longer Lasting Hair

Many believe that although they have hair extensions they don’t have to take care of their hair. This is not true. Without proper care of your hair extensions you can cause your extensions to tangle and shed. When you purchase your hair you want them to look flawless and last. So the people at the hair nation came up with some simple tips to keep your hair extensions looking fabulous.

One of the first tips is keeping your hair moisturized. Although the hair that you have attached to your head is not growing for your scalp it still needs to be taken care of. Hair that is cut from the root tends to be very dry. You definitely want to keep your hair moisturized if its human hair. Products that are good for keeping your weave moisturized are Shea Moisture and Bio-silk Silk Therapy. Both of these products can be purchased at your local Target. These products will lock in moisture so your hair extensions may have shine and last.

Step two to keeping your weave looking flawless is, keeping oily products out of your extensions. You may think hair gloss, shine, grease, oil sheen and hair spray are your friends, but when wearing a weave they are your worst enemies. The products that were listed above can cause you weave to look heavy and limp. These products also cause your hair extensions to attract dirt. Dirt build up causes your hair to itch and sometimes can become tangled or matted. Try not use any of these products, trust me you don’t need them.

Another step to keeping your hair looking great is, the less heat the better. You may think that applying heat on your human hair is not damaging to your extensions, but it is. Applying heat to your extensions can cause your hair extensions to become thin, brittle and dry. Heat can also shorten the longevity of your hair extensions. If you can I suggest you try to stay away from heat. Use curlers or rollers as an alternative.

One of the last steps to having beautiful hair is having a nightly routine. Having a nightly routine can make you hair last longer and look healthy. My nightly routine consist of me brushing my hair and loosely platting my hair. After this I make sure that I wrap my hair with a silk scarf. If you don’t want a silk scarf, I would suggest you get a silk pillowslip.

These are just a few steps that can keep your extension looking great and lasting long. For more great tips check out http://www.thehairnation.net.

10 Tips For Successful Indoor UV Tanning In Tanning Beds

Indoor UV tanning can be wonderful and beneficial if you know how to do it correctly.

Here are 10 UV tanning tips that will help you to get the most out of your visit to a tanning salon.

UV tanning tip 1: Select your salon. Believe it or not, but UV tanning can be one of the best skin-care and overall health beneficial activities you can provide for your body. You just have to get the right individual advice of how to do it correctly. Even if you follow all tips on this page, you will need professional advice at the tanning salon of your choice. Therefore, select to visit salons that have trained staff that can give you individual advice. Cleanness, modernity of equipment, the changing of lamps at regular intervals and the general atmosphere, are also important features when you make your choice of salon.

UV tanning tip 2: Know your skin type. To know your skin-type is very important for a good result and safe tanning. The amount of melanin in your skin, together with your goal for your tanning, will determine your tanning program and which kind of tanning lotions you should use. If you are skin-type 2, you will need to build up more melanin in order to develop a deeper tan. If you are skin-type 3 or 4, you might just want to darken you existing melanin with UVA-rays (but remember, this will not give you any Vitamin D).

UV tanning tip 3: Decide your tanning goals. Do you want the darkest possible color, or do you want a combination of Vitamin D and a healthy glow? Maybe you want to prepare your skin for a sunny vacation? Tell your tanning goals to the staff in the salon so they can give you suitable advice.

UV tanning tip 4: Which kind of UV-rays? Find a tanning salon with tanning beds (and staff) that can meet your goals. Remember that UVA-rays from high-pressure lamps only oxidize the existing melanin in your skin and do not produce any Vitamin D or build up any additional melanin in order to prepare the skin for further tanning. UVB-rays from low-pressure lamps, on the other hand, make the body produce both Vitamin D and more melanin. The amount of UVB in low-pressure lamps can vary. Look for a tanning bed with at least 3% UVB (in relation to UVA) for best result in shortest time. The staff in the salon should be able to guide you.

UV tanning tip 5: Do NOT burn your skin! Always stay on the safe side of burning your skin when tanning in a tanning bed (this goes of course also for tanning under the open sun). Even if you want to get as dark as possible, do not take any risks with too long tanning sessions in too strong tanning beds. You must let your skin get used to tanning slowly. Use the UVB rays to build up more melanin and use tanning lotions with bronzers and other active tan- and skin- care ingredients to help your skin stay young and healthy also after many years of tanning. Follow a tanning schedule advised by the staff in the tanning salon, and you should be fine.

UV tanning tip 6: Always use tanning lotions! Always use tanning lotions specially made for indoor tanning in tanning beds. The role of such lotions is to keep you skin well moisturized, provide anti-oxidation and rejuvenation as well as add bronzing tan-enhancers. Good indoor tanning lotions should have a rich moisturizing base (preferably Aloe vera or coconut milk), a fair amount of other active skin-caring ingredients (preferably with silicone to lock them and the moisture into the skin) and bronzers to assist the tanning process. There are three different kinds of bronzers, each with a specific task:

  1. Natural bronzers (with Tyrosine) to speed up the natural production of melanin.
  2. Delayed bronzers (with DHA and/or Erythrulose) that oxidize existing melanin.
  3. Cosmetic coloring bronzers that dye your skin more brown (just like coloring your hair).

Delayed bronzers and cosmetic coloring bronzers work also without UV-light and are therefore common in self-tanning lotions.

Tingle lotions can be used carefully in order to provide more oxygen to the tanning process.

Remember – having a smooth, healthy and well moisturized skin that absorbs the UV-light, can make your session double as effective than when having a dry and wrinkled skin that reflects the UV-rays. Always buy your lotion in your tanning salon. Only then can you be sure of the quality and get professional advice on how to find and use the right lotion for your skin-type and goals.

UV tanning tip 7: Protect your eyes! Always use special goggles during your tanning session. Just closing the eyes will not prevent the UV-rays from harming your eye-sight. The goggles must have a broad-spectrum protection towards both UVA and UVB. Even if you believe that the staff in your tanning salon follows the highest hygienic standards for the goggles they provide, it is better to buy your own, personal, goggles in your salon. Ordinary sun-glasses are not suitable for indoor tanning in tanning beds.

UV tanning tip 8: When to shower? It is better to take a shower before your sunbed session than directly after. The reason for this is that when you apply the tanning lotion, your skin should be as clean as possible. Furthermore, if you use lotions with delayed and/or cosmetic coloring bronzers, they need to stay on the skin for at least four hours in order to give the optimal benefits.

UV tanning tip 9: Horizontal or vertical? This is mainly a matter of taste. Many prefer horizontal beds because you can relax better during the tanning session. Others prefer vertical tanning units because you can move around in order to increase the blood-circulation for a more even color without white pressure marks. The choice is yours (if your salon offers the alternatives).

UV tanning tip 10: Respect your fellow tanners. Be quick and efficient in the tanning booth before and after your session. (But don’t stress since tanning should be a relaxing experience). Make it easy for the tanning salon staff to clean after you by picking up and dispose of any paper, empty tanning lotions packets etc.

Please be aware of that the tips above are valid for you only if you are in normal condition. In case you are suffering from any medical problems, you better first consult your doctor before using indoor UV-tanning.

Hopefully you found the tips for indoor UV tanning useful and, if so, please share them with your friends.

Utilizing Ayurvedic Medicine to Treat Hair Loss

Ayurevedic medicine has been used in India for over 5000 years. It is one of the oldest forms of natural medicine in the world, with practices that have stood both the test of time and the rigours of modern scientific study. In the modern world, Ayurevedic treatments are in use all across the globe and millions rely on their remarkable healing powers every year.

The word “ayurvedic” comes from Sanskrit, where it means “the knowledge of life”. Although it and unani medicine have intermixed with classical Greek, Roman and Persian practices over the centuries to form complex medical systems in their own right, modern ayurvedic practitioners in India are often qualified medical doctors as well. This means when you try ayurvedic for yourself you can be sure that the people advising you are trained in traditional medicine as well as this ancient and time-honoured complementary therapy.

What Does Ayurvedic Medicine Contain?

Ayurvedic is concerned with natural remedies, rather than synthetic components made in a laboratory or pharmaceutical company. It uses natural herbs and minerals to heal a variety of ills and the methods have long withstood the test of time.

In the case of hair loss remedies, colour rejuvenation and even treatments for snakebites, the favoured herb to go to in ayurevedic medicine is eclipta alba. This plant goes by many names but that is its scientific one. Eclipta alba has been used for centuries in India, China, Taiwan and even as far afield as Brazil because of its remarkable natural healing properties. What’s more, it works fast.

The Many Uses of Kehraj

One of the most highly regarded of the herbs found in both ayurevedic and unani herbal medicine is Kheraj. This plant goes by many names across the world but its scientific name is eclipta alba. It is known as Kheraj, or Karisalankanni in the Assam region of India; where it is commonly used to cure many ailments.

Eclipta alba has been studied for decades by western science and its properties are now well documented. The herb has been used for centuries to treat snakebites in both China and Brazil, where it grows in the wild. In india, eclipta alba is often used as a black dye in both hair colouring and tattoos.

The strong dying quality of Kehraj has made it a popular choice for people with grey hair who want to restore their lost colour. The dye from the eclipta alba plant can be formed into an oil and massaged into the greying hair. When allowed time to soak in, the oils quickly restore the lost colour to the hair. This restorative ability was first documented in a scientific research paper published in 1955, and again in further studies in the 1970s.

Restoring Hair Loss Using Karisalankanni

The eclipta alba plant’s restorative qualities do not end at bringing colour back into greying hair. Sufferers of hair loss have sought out Ayurvedic medicine for generations because of the healing power of Karisalankanni hair oil. This herbal oil, made from the eclipta alba plant, is a powerful healing agent for damage to the hair and scalp.

When formed into an oil and massaged into the scalp, the chemicals in eclipta alba work to bring the damaged hair follicles out of their dormant state. Research in the 1950s, the 1970s and even as recently as 2009 have all demonstrated that eclipta alba hair oil not only coaxes damaged follicles back to life but also extends the amount of time they stay in the active growing phase.

As a result, using Kehraj or Karisalankanni hair oil on a regular basis will speed up recovery from hair loss and restore your hair to its natural, healthy state. According to the research carried out in 2009, eclipta alba oil will restore 160% the amount of follicles to active growing compared to allowing the body to heal itself naturally. This is truly a remarkable achievement.

Ayurvedic medicine is a time-honoured, and scientifically proven, form of alternative medicine. Many of its practitioners in India, where the system comes from, are also qualified medical doctors in their own right and they use ayurvedic as a complimentary process to their medical work. For restoring colour to your hair, and encouraging new hair growth where hair has fallen out, there is no comparison with ayurvedic’s natural treatment.

Fungal Infections – Symptoms, Causes and Home Remedies

Some Fungi can be found on and in the human body, certain conditions can set it off where it could cause problems but generally it serves its purpose [what it was designed to do] without ever making a person ill or causing discomfort.

The most common fungal infections

* ringworm – a round ring shape infection that is very infectious [can cross infect from person to person], generally found on all skin surfaces but can also infect the nails [as tinea]. Starts slowly but if left untreated can infect the entire body surface and be very itchy and uncomfortable

* Athletes foot/feet – infects mainly between the toes, but can also be found on the sides of the feet or on and around the toe nails

Candida – infects mainly the moist areas of the body [groin and upper thighs] but it is also known to infect the toenails. This fungus is also known as thrush and can cause diaper rash [on babies] and vaginal infections [in women]

Jock itch – upper thighs and groin area are the main areas that are infected with this fungus

Some symptoms

redness

itchiness

dryness

cracked skin

inflamed skin

raised bumps

burning sensation

smelly discharge

hair loss

The symptoms depend on the area the fungus has infected [you will not lose your hair if you have athletes feet for example], care to the infection should be commenced as soon as possible to prevent further infection and cross infection [ringworm, athletes foot etc].

Causes

* Athletes foot – wearing dirty socks [or sharing with an infected person], using public showers or swimming pools, not drying between the toes and having very sweaty and moist feet that are not taken care of.

* Jock Itch – bad personal hygiene in that area could cause this [as well as thrush]. Wearing dirty underwear and having a very sweaty groin area also contribute to this problem.

* Candida – a form of thrush infects moist damp areas, bad personal hygiene and wearing of dirty underwear [diapers in the case of babies with nappy rash] are also a trigger to this problem.

* ringworm [also know as tinea] – generally passed from one infected animal or person onto another by physical contact. This fungus is very contagious and good personal hygiene and avoidance of infected animals or persons is very important.

Antibiotics, a poor diet, diabetes, cancer and a few other serious illnesses may also cause people to be susceptible to a fungal infection; this is due to the ill person already having a weakened immune system.

Home remedies

* yogurt – applied as a topical treatment to the infected area [must be fungal] or taken as food for an internal infection [vaginal infection]

* apple cider vinegar – applied as a topical ointment for skin infections [must be fungal]

* aloe – applied as an ointment alone or mixed with olive oil to the fungal infected area

* vitamin E oil – mixed with baby oil and aloe, applied topically to the fungal infection

* tea tree oil – applied topically to the fungal infected areas

* garlic – apply raw garlic to the area, avoid sensitive areas for this treatment, can be smelly but sure works

Remember to eat correctly and to drink plenty of fluids at this time, this will assist the immune system in fighting the fungal infection.

Over the counter medication will also assist in clearing up the infection, if no noticeable change has occurred after a few days please go see your doctor for a diagnosis and the prescribed medication or treatment for the condition.

Everything You Want to Know About Hair Loss in Women – An Alternative Medical Perspective – Part 1

Between 21-25 million women suffer from hair loss in the US. Very few are getting the help they need in dealing with this devastating problem. A March 2008 review in the Dermatology Online Journal refers to female alopecia as a “common but puzzling condition” that strikes 10 percent of pre-menopausal women and 50 percent to 75 percent of women 65 years and older. This article concludes, “The need for effective agents is highlighted by the paucity of effective treatments and the substantial psychosocial impact of alopecia on women.”

The importance that is placed upon a full head of beautiful, healthy hair is understood by examining the out of pocket expense an average woman spends on her hair. According to a survey conducted by TRESemme in Britain, women are spending about the equivalent of $50,000. on her hair in her lifetime. This sum represents an average of $160 on shampoos and conditioners, another $120 for styling products and about $520 for haircuts yearly. In addition about 55 percent of women spend an additional $330 per year for hair coloring

Considering these facts, along with the emphasis media, beauty and fashion magazines and tabloids place upon hair: style, color, trends, length, who’s cut their hair, who’s grown bangs…on and on…. Hair has been immortalized as an object of fetish for lovers, writers, artists and poets since the beginning of recorded history. It is no wonder that it can be one of the most demoralizing and upsetting experiences for a woman to experience her “crowing glory” transferring from her head to her brush by consistently increasing numbers of hair follicles.

What makes this all the more frustrating and depressing is that the Western biomedical community does not have the answers that satisfy the majority of women with this problem.

What are the causes? More important…what can you do to prevent or correct this unwanted condition that robs women of one of their most prized possessions: a full head of healthy and beautiful hair. With all the advancements in medicine and research, these are the questions that for the most part have not been answered in a satisfactory manner to those experiencing this dilemma.

I will discuss this problem and address the causes and remedies from two different perspectives. The first perspective will be from the 4000 year old classics of Traditional Chinese medicine. The second will be from a modern day functional endocrinology perspective. Being a practitioner (and life long student) of Chinese medicine and having studied functional endocrinology, I often combine these two approaches effectively in handing many problems that are resistant to conventional allopathic medicine.

Here’s a brief explanation: Functional endocrinology identifies alterations in the endocrine system that are not currently in a disease state at the point of diagnosis. General clinical endocrinology treats conditions of deficiency, overactive or non -functioning organs, and uses pharmaceuticals or hormones to replace, suppress or support the dysfunctional endocrine gland. I find that by combining both the TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) and the functional endocrinology perspectives, I can achieve the best possible outcome for my patients, creating an “Ancient medicine for modern times”. I will attempt to discuss this problem from the homeopathic perspective without getting lost in technicalities; hopefully this will shed new understanding concerning female hair loss.
