Adrenal Fatigue Diet

Presumably, since you’re reading this article, you already have knowledge about Adrenal Fatigue. You never thought that stress could be something unhealthy, eh? So now, you might be wondering what you can do to regain your energy back the simple and easy way.

Diet Isn’t Always That Bad

The first step to recovering is making an effort of being aware of the things you are eating. Make sure that what you’re eating is good for your body. Now, I know that good, yummy food is just so irresistible but not all of those delicious foods are healthy.

An adrenal fatigue diet is almost the same as any other kind of diet. You have to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Avoid the banana, figs and melons though. They may be good fruits but too much potassium can be very much harmful to the adrenal fatigued. But other than that, there are also other things that you have to consider.

What Is There To Do?

You have to eat healthy, fresh and unprocessed food. Still want McDonald’s? Go for the salad! Just for the record, eating takes up energy too! And the more you eat fresh, unprocessed food, the less energy you’ll have to use to digest what you eat! Do you love alcohol? What about coffee? And sugar? Yes, these three are just too tempting; especially the sugar!

But these just won’t do if you want to get rid of your adrenal fatigue. Instead of caffeine, have tea! I hear green tea is good for your body. For sugar, use natural sweeteners. And alcohol, have a glass of wine but you must have no more than one glass. Remember to have your daily dose of exercise! Walking for an hour a day is enough. When you are suffering from adrenal fatigue, you must eat regular meals. Healthy ones, if I may remind you. We need to keep our blood sugar in balance.

The regular number of meals a day is three huge meals and three snacks. And to remind you all, eating past 7 PM is not good either because you don’t get to burn those fats you just took in. Remember that the adrenal fatigue patient needs a good balance of protein, fat and carbohydrates. Yes, fat! The fats and the carbohydrates will help you have energy for the day since adrenal fatigued patients lose energy or don’t have energy that much.

Also, remember to never skip breakfast! The food you take during breakfast is going to be your energy or your fuel until your next huge meal or snack. It’s very helpful to have snacks often so as to refill your source of energy. Also recommended in the diet are whole grains and nuts!

Try having these during your breakfast and lunch but not dinner. The purpose of these two is to keep you up and running through the day. You don’t need this by night and you won’t be out partying since the recommended time for sleep is before 10. So there you have it, a not-so-difficult diet that you can follow!
