Simple Tips to Get the Most Handsome Penis Around

As every man knows, a handsome penis relies a great deal on proper penis care. The right care regimen can help keep the penis skin smooth, supple and ready for action. It can alleviate bumps and irritations that lead to an unsightly look. It can even help ensure that a man sports a healthy, red penis filled with blood at the most opportune moment!

But sometimes, even men who feel like old pros at good penis care will find that something is missing. They want to have an even more handsome penis, but nothing they try is working. That’s when these important tips come into play.

1) Never use the death grip. Using the ‘death grip’ during masturbation produces intense friction, which can lead to intense orgasms. But it can also lead to a serious decline in penis health, as the grip disrupts the flow of blood and can leave the penis sore, raw and irritated. Go easy, and use lube, to keep the handsome penis every man desires.

2) Pay attention to overall health. Just as bad habits can affect skin on the rest of the body, the same is true of the penis. For instance, smoking is notoriously bad for the skin, as is a lack of sleep, among others. Taking good care of overall health can result in a vast improvement in penis skin.

3) Brush up on penis cleaning skills. Though most men are sure they know how to clean their equipment, it never hurts to look for new tips to help keep the skin looking its best. Use a gentle cleanser, one that is specially formulated for use on very sensitive skin. Avoid soap, as this has a drying effect. Gently clean every bit of skin, including under the foreskin and in the area around the balls. Groom carefully if using a razor or other tool to shave the area. Then dry off with a soft towel by patting the skin thoroughly, never rubbing – that could lead to more irritation.

4) Avoid potential irritants. Be wary of changing what works. For example, if using a particular detergent has always worked just fine, stay with that brand – don’t switch, even for a much better deal at the store. A new detergent can be the culprit when it comes to rashes or other irritations. The same is true of other products used in the home on a regular basis.

5) Catch problems as soon as they start. A daily inspection of the penis can help ensure that all is well. If something looks odd, such as a surprise irritation on the shaft or a lesion or bruise on the head, pay close attention. If it gets any worse, take the time to go to the doctor. By catching small problems well before they can become big ones, a man makes certain to keep his penis skin and overall penis health in great shape.

6) Use a superior penis health crème. Wrap up every day with the use of a powerful penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). The right crème will contain a plethora of ingredients in a formula specially designed for penis skin. These ingredients should include vitamin A for odor control, vitamin B5 for skin health, and vitamins C and D for their overall health properties. L-carnitine is a good idea, as it promotes better health of the nerve endings, and so is L-arginine, as it promotes healthy blood flow. Finally, look to Shea butter and vitamin E to keep the skin supple, smooth and ready for action.

Three Strategies to Attract Wealth

1. Bagha

2. Positioning

3. Rhythm For Money-Magnet

You and I are skeptics, and that means we disbelieve most of what we hear and read, unless we are presented with proof. We consider ourselves followers of Cause-And-Effect, not superstition, right?

This is plain common-sense. Einstein said, ‘Common-sense is the accumulation of our prejudices for the first eighteen years of our lives.’ But common-sense is better than believing nonsense, and being a fool. We are and remain practical folks, skeptics.

Skeptic is Latin for thoughtful, inquiring, and to examine, look. Synonyms are: doubters, unbelievers, cynics, leery, and questioning. Nice traits say I.

But with a background in law, we have been trained to absolutely reject beliefs and ideas without controls. We support the scientific method. Show me the verified results of experiments. We need and demand evidence before we give away our mind, right? Has it been replicated by others? Why not? We are skeptics who read and listen to ideas and beliefs, no matter how outrageous, and ask for proof.

Bagha

The Bagha is over four-thousand years old and a part of ancient Yoga. What is it? You place the tip of your tongue for a split second to the front area of the roof of your mouth. Why? When you trigger this physical (conscious) act, and simultaneously produce a mental-movie (visualize) a goal, you improve the odds of attracting and manifesting your dreams and goals.

So What

If you use the Bagha for protection from negative energies surrounding you (sick people in a hospital),

It affects your Emotional reactions to your circumstances. We are social emotional animals, and using the Bagha plays into both those human traits, instincts, and programming.

Wait a minute – what happened to manifesting? Einstein also said, ‘Do your own mind-experiments.’

Use the Bagha (touch the tip of your tongue to the front roof of your mouth) when you feel stressed, panicked, or anxious. Say, “Bagha – Protection”. Does it work? It is your experiment, so you decide.

Is it scientific? Wrong question. Does it work for you? Is it merely a coincidence? Results are the only proof we all accept, right? Napoleon Hill said, “What we can conceive and belief, we can achieve.”

He was an arch skeptic, but he tested the effectiveness of many weird ideas.

Gambling

Huh? Five-minutes prior to entering the Poker Tournament room do a Bagha. Shut your eyes without being obvious, create, visualize and imagine a time in your life when you were outrageously successful

with regards to money. For me it was in the vault of my bank, counting my municipal bonds and stacks of Ben Franklins. Capture that incident again for 10-seconds. See the mental-movie and feel it.

But what if you have never had a wealth moment of outrageous success? Follow Professor William James, who produced the Law of Acting-As-If. He said, mentally pretend as if you did have such an experience, and visualize it now. He taught at Harvard Medical School and believed in the power of the mind to use expectation to attract success.

Now visualize from where you are now – in the casino. Use your V-A-K senses (visual-auditory-kinisthetic) and add if appropriate, Gustatory (taste) and Olfactory (smell). Oh yeah, Kinesthetic is tactile, haptic, your sense of touch (feelings). Visualize what?

Mentally visualize the process of the Poker tournament as you want it to play out. Use your senses to imagine yourself taking in the Jackpots often. See yourself smiling and laughing and raking in your chips. How long?

Ten-seconds are good, twenty-seconds are better.

Thirty-seconds, broken up into two fifteen-second segments are excellent. Now visualize the hostesses bringing you wine and caviar, and feel and taste them as if you are actually consuming them with relish. The Bagha is giving you a sense of emotional confidence. You are feeling sharper going into the Poker room. Pay strict attention to your mind experiment.

Will this Bagha nonsense attract wealth, money and success to you? It is your mind-experiment, you decide based on the results, right?

Positioning

Every thought human have are located on a specific territory of your mind. Positioning is discovering these locations to use in the present to attain your goals and burning desires. Huh?

Make-believe (law of Acting-As-If) you have a large clock in your hands. Think of a food or drink you dislike and avoid like the plague. For many folks that thought (emotion) is located at 7pm. That is its mental position. Now think of foods or drink you absolutely love to consume. For many it is positioned on your mental clock at 1pm.

If you want to lose weight you avoid delicious but fattening foods by reversal. When you get the desire for say, chocolate, use your imagination to tune into 7pm – the foods you hate. Now your desire and taste for chocolate disintegrates emotionally.

Gambling

Imagine a time you were very lucky and maybe won the Jackpot. It could have been when you were a kid at a game or sport or playing poker. Bring back that emotion with all your senses, see it, hear the sounds, and feel your sensations of success. That mental location is just above your forehead – say, 12 noon.

Now enter the Poker Room, and intentionally move your eyes ‘Upward’ toward your forehead.

How long? Two-second is nice, five-seconds is better. When you Position your mind to previous success you trigger your brain to bring about similar circumstances. When I witnessed an experiment with Positioning, she won the first jackpot.

I attributed that to coincidence and random luck. After she won the second Jackpot, I was surprised.

There was more to come but I do not want to create a gambler’s mindset that would destroy your mind experiment integrity.

Money Magnet

Wealth is totally (100%) about your attitude. So is winning at the Poker Table. There may be such a thing as money-consciousness. What is it? A Rhythm (vibration) that attracts dinero to some fortunate people. Some say it is the use and regulation of your Electro-Magnetism. That is your vibrational-frequency.

Is it real? Google: brainwaves, beta-alpha-theta-delta. See: Electroencephalogram.

How

Can you tense your shoulders, neck and head and maintain it for about ten-seconds? Do this in the Poker Room. Simultaneously see, visualize and imagine yourself winning the Jackpot. This is a process, so see the entire hand being played out in your mind, not just the end product of winning the Jackpot.

Release the stress in your shoulders, neck and head after each hand. Hold the tension for no more than ten-seconds at a time, and then release. Wait until the next hand and do it again, while visualize your burning desire. You may be affecting your electro-magnetic vibrational frequency.

Can you visualize money flowing, flying and attracting itself to your hands? That’s exactly what mental gamblers do. They call it being a Money-Magnet. Does it really work, you must decide if you are willing to do a mind experiment. What I have seen threatens my status as a skeptic.

Check out ‘Mad-Mike, the Poker Pro’. He trains students to ‘Hijack Casino Poker Tournaments’.

Who cares – we are skeptics, right?

Endwords

You and I are not gamblers. We do not spend $20 weekly on winning at Lotto. We believe in cause-and-effect, coincidences, and are not superstitious. In fact we are skeptics. If something works that goes against our mindset, do we deny it or want to know more?

More to come. See ya.

Know How Your Sleeping Position Can Affect Your Sleep

After a hectic day, a good night sleep is what you need. Unfortunately, there are many people who are deprived of this. There can be innumerable reasons behind it, but there is one in particular that many tend to overlook, and that is the ‘sleeping position’. Wrong sleeping positions can lead to many health issues like sleep apnea, heartburn, headaches, back pains, etc.

How to figure out the right sleeping position?

Some people are comfortable sleeping on their backs, while others are good with sleeping on sides or on their stomachs. The question is, can you switch over to a different position if that’s what your health requires?

  • Unless recommended by your doctor, try to stick to your natural inclinations because your body is comfortable that way. You can breathe properly only if you are sleeping the way your body prefers to!
  • Unnecessary changes in sleeping postures will not only make you sleep deprived, but will also make you feel irritated for the rest of the day.

Pros and Cons of different sleeping positions

On your back and your arms at your side

  • This position works absolutely well with the people with spinal and neck problems.
  • People sleeping on their back tend to snore heavily and they tend to develop sleep apnea.

On your back and arms resting near your head (Starfish position)

  • This position is good for people suffering with back problems.
  • Sleeping like this will prevent skin breakouts and facial wrinkles.
  • Although, you may have to deal with problems like snoring, acid reflux, pain and discomfort in shoulders.

On your stomach (face down)

  • This improves digestion.
  • But causes strain in your neck.
  • Possibility of back pain, as your spine has no support.

Fetal Position (Curled up sleeping with knees drawn to your chest)

  • It is a very comfortable position.
  • But strains your neck and back.
  • It may also restrict deep breathing.

On the side with your arms straight at sides

  • This position reduces the risk of sleep apnea.
  • It also reduces neck and back pains, if any.
  • But you may have to deal with sagging breasts and facial wrinkles due to gravity.

On your side with your arms spread out

  • Again, no risk of sleep apnea and no back and neck pains.
  • There may be some discomfort in your arms and shoulders due to slow blood flow.
  • Sleeping on the sides

Right side- This position worsens heartburn.

Left side- This positions strains important organs like your stomach, lungs and liver. But, it does minimize acid reflux.

Pregnant women are usually advised to sleep on their left sides as it improves blood circulation in the fetus.

Important tip: Being health conscious is great, but you should never try to bring drastic changes in your lifestyle without expert advice. Each sleeping pattern has its own advantages and disadvantages, but which one is perfect is something that only your body can tell!

Hair Loss Remedy – Vitamins, Minerals and Natural Supplements For Hair Loss – Nurse’s Report

Hair loss is also known as alopaecia, alopecia and baldness that happens in men, women and children. Hair loss refers to the loss of hair due to an increase in the rate of hair falling out and its not being replaced by new hair growth. Seeking natural treatment is the best remedy and vitamins, minerals and other supplements may or may not be taken safely as a hair loss solution. Many of the hair loss drugs on the market today require a daily dose for a lifetime. Besides being expensive, they all come with side effects and the benefits may not outweigh the risks.

It’s important to get diagnosed and know what is causing your hair loss. If you’re an older man, chances are it may be male pattern baldness. You can also have your testosterone levels checked to see if they may be implicated. Decreasing them may not be possible though or advisable.

If the hair follicles are still alive and functioning then it may be worth a try to take some supplements that you may be missing in your diet to help stop losing your hair. Two things to remember though – a natural healthy diet of living foods (raw foods – fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds) and lots of them is the best approach; wherein you have plenty of vitamins, minerals and other phytonutrients naturally available to help you grow your hair back and return yourself to your optimum state – it’s the best hair loss diet.

Secondly, it’s not known if vitamins, minerals and other supplements work if they’re not working in conjunction with nature’s natural chemicals – those that are a part of the living foods that the vitamins and minerals are also a part of. And the quality of the supplements is important also.

Cheap supplements may not be of the best quality and may not do you any good and may do you more harm as your body needs to get rid of them.

Keeping this all in mind I’m going to list the vitamins and minerals that are reported to be the best for enhancing or stimulating hair growth, again if the hair follicles are still alive. Make sure to get advice from your hair loss doctor or naturopathic doctor before you start taking any supplements. Some supplements can be harmful if you’re taking certain drugs or medications for example.

Take the following information with a grain of salt. New studies and research come out often and any new study or report can refute what has been reported in the past.

First of all the amino acids, arginine, cysteine, lysine and tyrosine, are used in hair loss treatment.

Arginine deficiency has been reported as one reason for hair loss.

Cysteine at dosages of 1,000 mg. to 2,000 mg. per day has been reported to spur hair growth and help stop hair loss. It’s supposed to help prevent free radical damage to the hair follicles. Some reports show that cysteine causes a noticeable improvement in hair growth. Eight percent of human hair is made up of cysteine. Many people who have thin or slow growing hair have reported they’ve noticed considerable improvement in their hair growth when they used 3,000 mg. to 5,000 mg. of cysteine per day.

Lysine deficiency can result in hair loss. Lysine is often used for herpes-related infections or prevention.

Tyrosine – when hair loss is caused by a low thyroid condition, called hypothyroid, tyrosine has been known to alleviate it.

Other supplements –

Enzymes in the form of superoxide dismutase (SOD) are supposed to decrease hair loss by inhibiting superoxide free radicals on nitric oxide.

A linoleic acid deficiency may result in hair loss, research suggests.

Minerals –

The important minerals to consider are copper, iron, silicon and zinc. Minerals need to be in balance with each other. Too much of one mineral in some cases can cause an imbalance in another. Make sure to get help from an informed health professional.

Copper can help stimulate hair growth if a copper deficiency is present and is involved in the prevention and possibly treatment of hair loss. Too much copper can actually cause hair loss. I have wondered whether the copper bracelets that used to be in vogue and may still be, for arthritis, would be worth a try.

Recently there have been good studies on iron deficiency as a possible cause of hair loss. Taking iron supplements is not a good idea though. Getting iron naturally in food would be a better choice. Too much iron can cause some serious health problems.

Potassium deficiency can be a cause of hair loss it’s thought.

Silicon is supposed to be able to stimulate hair growth. Silicon is present in cucumbers among other foods.

Early or premature hair loss may be a result of zinc deficiency so says some research. Again zinc can cause hair loss.

The sulfuric compound methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) may help hair growth due to its sulfur content.

Vitamins –

Many vitamins may be involved in hair loss. Research suggests that hair loss or hair growth may be a result of deficiencies of these vitamins – biotin, folic acid, inositol and PABA (para aminobenzoic acid) and PABA may help to prevent hair loss due to its antioxidant properties.

The nicotinic acid form of vitamin B3, which is applied to the scalp, may help to improve blood circulation to the scalp (and may help stop the loss of hair) – you must have live hair follicles present. The suggested dose has been about 35 mg. of nicotinic acid daily.

Vitamin B5 deficiency causes hair loss in animals but hasn’t been proven in humans.

Vitamin C may help hair growth by improving the circulation of blood to the scalp.

Taking too much vitamin A can cause temporary and reversible hair loss it’s reported.

These are the vitamins and minerals and other supplements that have been researched, reviewed, studied or reported on in various medical journals. Before starting any hair loss treatment or remedy to help stimulate your living hair follicles and/or to prevent further loss, make sure you see your doctor first. If your hair follicles are not alive than it is unknown today what will help them short of hair transplant. Some cases of hair loss are reversed once the cause is known. Some cannot be reversed with what we know today. And be patient for whatever method you may decide to use.

The main benefit promoted by the manufacturers of Foligen is the ability to slow down hair loss and even promote natural hair growth. This is achieved via the numerous natural and effective ingredients that make up this product.

While doing research for this review, I was unable to verify this claim. However, based on customer reviews from trusted shopping sites, and health forums, it seem as if most users are giving Foligen numerous positive feedback. As such, its safe to say that there may be some truth to the use of this product for combating hair loss.

Hair Loss No More Book Review

Hair Loss No More author Jonathon E. Phillips is a leading hair loss analyst who has helped many people including celebrities and sports personalities to combat hair loss.

His extensive experience has enabled him to put together a 168 page ebook which provides a solid education in the way hair grows, why it stops growing, and a whole body approach to minimizing the effects of hair loss and promoting new hair growth.

Hair loss is suffered by millions of men and women the world over, hence, the insatiable appetite for trying anything that claims to stop hair loss and get hair to regrow. Therein lies the danger. This desperate mindset can lead many an unsuspecting consumer into parting with their money for very dubious hair loss remedies.

In Hair Loss No More the author approaches the subject of hair loss in 3 parts.

Part 1 provides an in-depth background of the hair growth mechanism and the main causes of hair loss in men and women.

An interesting section on hair shampoo gives a warning against alkaline based shampoos which can give the appearance of more body and volume but which actually are only of cosmetic value and in some cases they can even damage the hair.

Part 2 is the main section of the book introducing what the author terms a revolutionary Step-By-Step Hair Power Regimen.

Mr. Phillips firmly believes in controlling hair loss from within rather than hoping a magic potion or even a prescription drug will solve the problem. His reasoning makes much sense.

Proper attention to diet, nutrition, regular exercise, and proper breathing are all involved in making sure the scalp gets what it needs to supply the hair follicles responsible for hair growth.

Part 3 goes into detail on modern hair replacement techniques and procedures. If you have any questions about hair transplantation you will no doubt find the answers here.

Finally an Appendix section provides additional resources for keeping the body in a healthy condition with emphasis on coping with stress and learning how to relax.

I personally found the second section on the Hair Power Regimen very helpful. I practice the exercise program outlined in this book and it certainly does much for blood circulation and a general feeling of well-being.

As hair follicles rely on a healthy blood supply delivering the nutrients they need, it is crucial we do everything possible to make sure our diet supports healthy blood and we avoid a sedentary lifestyle and smoking which can have such an adverse impact on our circulatory system.

Background on Rogaine

One very interesting section in this book gives a detailed background to the launch of Rogaine, the hair growth medication approved by the FDA back in 1988. The sales of this drug have been nothing short of phenomenal making billions of dollars for the companies involved.

Not so well known is the fact that comments were made both by the pharmaceutical company representatives and doctors on the advisory board which appeared before the FDA to the effect that this was not a breakthrough medical discovery and the results vary greatly.

However, due to the public’s desperation for a remedy and the media spotlight on this product, sales continue to go through the roof. Mr. Phillips provides documentation to substantiate his observations. Certainly the product helps many with hair loss but be careful in how the results are interpreted and analyze closely the limitations.

In Conclusion

If you or a loved one are anxious about hair loss then this inexpensive downloadable ebook is certainly a worthy read.

It provides common sense, practical steps anyone can take to control hair loss and promote healthy hair growth without having to dip deep into the pocket. A welcome change indeed when it comes to the hair loss industry!

Gout and Exercise – Some Surprising News

Gout is the most painful form of arthritis and is caused by an excessive amount of uric acid in the body. Gout symptoms come on quickly and intensely and often include extreme pain, swelling in the affected joint, redness and lessened mobility. Uric acid is a naturally occurring chemical in the body and if being over produced can be controlled with some medications specially made for the treatment of gout, though most excessive levels of uric acid come from a diet high in purines.

Purines are found in foods high in protein and can be found in common foods like salmon, yeast, bacon, turkey, and scallops, as well as unusual foods like heart, mutton, smelt, sardines and liver. When considering a treatment plan for gout, it’s important to work with not only your doctor but also a trained gout diet nutritionist.

Gout and exercise have also made some recent leaps up the gout treatment plan ladder. When thinking about gout and exercise it’s important to consider exercises that are easy on the joints and will not aggravate gout symptoms further. The best two forms of exercises for gout patients have been determined to be water aerobics and yoga. Water aerobics allows for the strengthening of muscles and joints in a low impact environment that offers no pressure on the joints during the workout routine.

Yoga offers stretching of the joints and muscles to help with flexibility which can also help prevent gout episodes and symptoms. Yoga is also a progressive form of exercise which allows for someone who is only a beginner or experience severe gout symptoms to start with smaller movements, then move to more challenging movements and positions as they are able to. Both of these forms of exercise are widely available at most fitness centers and community centers.

While, gout and exercise is a great way to help treat and prevent gout episodes, it’s important to work with a nutritionist on putting together a gout diet to get and keep the excessive of uric acid out of your body to better prevent future episodes. Pain management may also need to be worked into your treatment plan while you are working to prevent future episodes. With a little help and some dedication you can get your gout under control and keep it from affecting your active life.

Hair Loss in Women Over 40 – What You Can Do About It

Everyone’s hair thins out to a degree as we age. We’re aging, and so is our hair. The number one complaint from second act women, after sagging skin, is thinning hair.

More than 20 million women in the United States alone suffer from some form of “female pattern baldness.” Consequently, a big question in my chair is, “How can I make my hair appear fuller?” It’s likely, if you want volume (or height), you are going to have to lift your arms above your shoulders and spend sometime creating it. Some time is not an hour. Some time is 15 to 20 minutes. When hair starts to thin, we often cannot rely on a good haircut alone. Hairdressers can’t just cut “height” in to your hair. To make thinning hair look thicker it takes us both working together.

The most common cause of thinning hair in women is hereditary hair loss, or androgenetic alopecia. In fact, 95 percent of all hair thinning in women can be put down to hereditary hair loss. Few women have heard about this condition and even fewer realize that this may be the cause of their hair loss.

The word ‘alopecia’ is used to describe types of significant hair loss. Androgenetic alopecia describes hair loss that is caused by androgens, which are hormones present in everyone, man or woman. Hormone changes affect many things, including hereditary hair loss. Specifically, it is your genetic sensitivity to the male hormone testosterone that is the key. The testosterone is converted to a more potent hormone called dihydrotestosterone, which causes sensitive hairs and follicles to become smaller.

Why Hair Thins Out

Normally, each of your hairs grows for two to seven years, takes a three-month “rest,” and then falls out to make room for new hair. But if you have a genetic predisposition to thinning locks, your hair follicles may become more sensitive to the male hormone testosterone sometime in your twenties or thirties, or even in your teens. (It’s not that you produce more testosterone than other women; the hormone just affects you differently.) Over time, your follicles shrink and can produce only finer, shorter, weaker hairs, or none at all. In some women, the process accelerates at menopause, when natural estrogen levels decline.

This is why you may notice short hairs that never seem to grow, particularly around the hairline and center part. You know the “little fuzzies” that you see at the top of your head. A reason why adding layers and texture helps create the illusion that those fuzzies are supposed to be there, rather than oddly shorter than the rest of the hair.

What Can Be Done for Thinning Hair?

The three common methods for treating hair loss are medical, surgical, and cosmetic. Medically, the topical drug minoxidil is used to stop hair follicles from shrinking in about 60 percent of the women who try rubbing it into their scalps twice a day. About two-thirds of those women will also see some regrowth within eight months, although the new hair is usually much finer than the old.

Medical therapy is more effective at stopping the progression of hair loss than regrowing already lost hair, but a lucky percentage of patients may see some significant regrowth. Minoxidil is available without a prescription, but you must use it continually for the rest of your life to maintain any new hair growth. Hair loss will begin again within a few months after minoxidil treatment is stopped. Some women find that the solution causes itching or headaches.

Minoxidil is the only drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a treatment for female-pattern hair loss. Finasteride, a prescription pill that functions by moderating testosterone levels, seems to work only in men. It is not safe for women.

Hair restoration surgery is another option for women, although it works best if you happen to be thinning out primarily on top, as men do. A surgeon removes hair from a denser area on your head and transplants the follicles individually to wherever you need them most. Surgical treatment has progressed dramatically over the past 10 years, and now the most advanced surgical technique is follicular unit transplantation, which consists of replacing lost hair with microscopically obtained, tiny, natural-looking units of only one to three hairs each. It is so natural that, when done properly, even delicate areas such as eyebrows and eyelashes can be recreated. You can expect to pay between $4,000 and $30,000 over time.

Finally, cosmetic enhancement is the use of products such as thickener, concealer, and techniques that create the illusion that your hair is thicker than it actually is. As you read further you will discover the most effective cosmetic treatments available today.

Need volume? Here is what works.

o    Back-combing: No, it doesn’t damage your hair. No, it won’t look like a beehive if you do it right. Learn how. It will always and forever give you control over that split in the crown.

o    Styling products like mousse are often best applied just to the scalp and root area.

o    Blow dry your hair in every direction with tension (pulling hair strongly away from the scalp with a brush or your fingers) with heat at the scalp, and voila, Volume! Bending “upside down” will help, but only if you also use tension with a brush or your fingers so the hair dries pulled 90 degrees from the scalp.

o    Volumizing products do temporarily plump the hair shaft. You get more volume. More tangles, but more volume. They can also weigh certain fine hair types down.

o    Velcro rollers: On dry hair: set, spray with hairspray, heat with the blow dryer, allow to cool. Poof! Volume. Back comb for more.

o    Curlers: Rollers, magnetic rollers, rags, bendies, anything you wrap wet hair around and allow to form to that shape will add volume through wave or curl.

o    Hot rollers: Always make sure the ends are neatly wrapped to avoid “fish hooks.”

o    Curling iron: Start at the base of the hair, over direct up and away from the direction your are rolling for lift at the scalp, roll then up and close the clamp slightly to click the hair through, heat, release, allow to cool before styling.

o    Round Brush utilizes the same concept as Velcro rollers. The more you heat and lift the hair at the scalp and allow to cool before removing the brush, the more volume created.

Creating Illusion Through Shadow

One of the simplest but least used techniques for creating the illusion you have thicker hair is to fill in the hairline or scalp area with scalp shader. Like brows with brow color and lashes with liner, your hair will look thicker when you conceal the scalp with color that matches your hair.

There are several scalp shaders on the market. My favorite is a product called Dermatch. Simply apply the shadow-like powder to thinning areas and voila – the illusion of thicker hair. This is particularly effective at hairline, temples, hair part, and that nasty split in the crown. Also great for men.
