The Inside Secret of Being Attractive – EFT

Do you feel attractive or ugly?

I’ve been there. We all have days when we look in the mirror and go ugh!

But there is a secret technique which can help you to overcome your inside ugliness and feel more attractive

It’s a fact when you FEEL more attractive, you are more attractive.

What is this technique?

The secret is EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). Many EFTers just simply refer to it as tapping.

Being attractive is an inside job. Being attractive has little to do with body paint, sorry make up or spending countless hours lift weights or the annual going down the gym. When you feel attractive you are attractive. You’ll not only be attractive to yourself. Others will automatically find you attractive as well. It is as if, you have a magnetic pull of some kind. This is where EFT helps. EFT resolves and dissolves your feelings about how you feel about yourself and others

Don’t get me wrong, make up, smart suits also help

You communicate on two levels. Consciously and unconsciously. Your unconscious signals are far more powerful than your words and actions. Others notice your unconscious signals first, words seconds. So if your attractive from the inside, they will pick this up first.

EFT can work even if you don’t know why you don’t feel as attractive as you are. You can simply begin.

Even though I don’t feel attractive and I don’t know why. I deeply and completely love, forgive and accept myself just the way I am.

Yes, even tapping with something as general as that can help you begin to feel more attractive.

Why you don’t feel attractive can have many pieces that make it up.

Have you been told you were not attractive in the past?

With EFT you can start working its magic by tapping:

Even though X said I was ugly and that really hurt me. I forgive myself for holding onto this belief about myself.

You can also work on your general self-esteem and happiness:

Even though I feel down. I accept all of me just the way I am.

Even though I’m frustrated and not happy. I’m choosing to let this go now.

Your speed of results will depend on whether you think being more and appearing more attractive is a big change for you. You can literally change in an instant with EFT. Or for you the change can happen more gradually as you and those around you get use to the new you and the way you feel and act.

Warning

Once you start to feel more attractive about yourself, others will notice and want to be around you more. If you feel uncomfortable about this, you can also use EFT for that too.

Underarm Whitening Cream – Are There Creams to Whiten Dark Underarms?

Having dark underarms is more common than most people think, and it’s not something people generally talk about with their friends, or want to focus on.

If you are embarrassed by dark under arms, don’t think that it’s a problem that you are stuck with. There are many commercial and at home options to eliminate under arm staining.

There are many creams you can buy to whiten skin – and they can be used for dark patches, however can contain ingredients like hydoquinone that are irritating for sensitive underarm areas.

There are many natural cream alternatives that use ingredients like licorice extract as an active ingredient – which is a natural bleaching agent and is much gentler on sensitive areas like the bikini line and under arms.

If you are going to choose an underarm cream rather than make your own like the one below, make sure you choose a natural plant based whitening cream containing licorice, kojic acid or lemon as a lightening agent.

There are many natural substances in foods and other resources that can naturally lighten underarms in a few weeks.

You can make several different natural remedies at home using oils, juices, baking soda and teas to gently lighten skin.

Many ingredients can be applied to gently lighten darkened areas over a few weeks, and then used to maintain problem areas once a month.

Here are some naturally occurring skin lighteners:

Almond Oil is an excellent light moisturizer on it’s own with mild lightening properties that can also be used as a base to add several other lightening essential oils and spices to.

Horseradish is a little on the tingly side, but works well for bleaching skin.

Turmeric is a spice that has bleaching capabilities and can be used as an infusion added to oils, serums and masks.

Yogurt has natural bleaching properties and can be applied directly to skin or used as a base that you can add other lightening ingredients to.

Licorice Extract is used in many natural lightening products for its brightening properties.

Cucumber juice squeezed from a cucumber is slightly lightening for skin.

Kojic Acid is derived from a fungi used for making soy sauce and brightens skin.

Lemon Juice is a stronger lightener for skin and can be applied direct or added to creams and masks. You can also use lemon essential oil.

Chamomile Tea (strong brew) is another gentle whitening ingredient that can be used direct or added to other lightening ingredients.

Baking Soda has been used in toothpastes to brighten teeth and can also be used for skin.

Grapefruit not only lightens skin but also contains enzymes that neutralize body odors making it a fantastic additive for an underarm lightening solution. You can also use grapefruit essential oil.

The easiest way to use these ingredients is by blending juices or oils together and applying them direct to skin with a sponge or wash cloth.

Below are some easy underarm lightening recipes to make at home:

Almond Turmeric Oil Serum:

1/2 cup Almond oil

1/2 teaspoon Turmeric

Preferable but optional – few drops of lemon or grapefruit oil.

Add the turmeric to the almond oil and allow to infuse for at least half an hour. Shake and apply this oil to dark areas twice daily for a month.

Juice Skin Lightening:

Make a juice of any of the liquid ingredients above with equal parts of all juices. If you have all of these ingredients that’s great, if not just mix what you do have together and apply it twice daily by sponging the liquid onto dark areas. Pat away excess lightly and allow to dry. You can also add a teaspoon of yogurt to this blend.

Baking Soda Lightening Paste:

Use 3 tablespoons of any of the juices above and a teaspoon of unsweetened yogurt with two tablespoons of baking soda. Apply this paste for ten minutes before showering then wash off.

Homemade Underarm Cream:

Melt 1/2 cup of Almond oil with 2 tablespoons of beeswax until combined. After it has cooled to a luke warm temperature, add a few drops of licorice extract, a squeeze of lemon juice or few drops of lemon oil, a pinch of turmeric powder and 5 drops of Japanese soy sauce. You can also use a teaspoon of cucumber juice if you wish.

Allow to cool and apply the cream twice daily to underarms. Store in a clean container in the fridge and use within 6 weeks.

These are some simple underarm lightening recipes to make at home. You can vary and adapt these recipes to suit your own needs and depending on available ingredients.

There are many more specific recipes including potent serums and peels you can make for lightening and other skin conditions.

I hope you enjoy trying these lightening recipes and resulting lighter underarms.

The Dangers of Having a Gallstone Or Liver Flush For People With GERD (Acid Reflux)

According to naturopathic medicine, having a gallstone or liver flush in many ways helps people relieve a number of their problems including back, shoulder, and leg pains, and even some digestive disorders, because of the nature of its cleansing effect — flushing out toxins and all those accumulated and unhealthy fat that’s stored in your gallbladder. Traditional doctors may have a differing opinion about this, but the results do not lie.

It works.

Unless you have GERD or Acid Reflux.

Technically, GERD is a digestive disorder, and I would not go into its definition here, as you may already know what it is, particularly if you have been dealing with it for a long period of time, and have already browsed the internet for in-depth information on acid reflux. The point of this article is to stress that you can do a gallstone or liver flush, in the context of two things:

You do NOT have GERD (Acid Reflux), or…

You are CURED from your GERD (Acid Reflux) and are confident that your stomach can handle it.

The common “ingredients” involved with a gallstone or liver flush are olive oil, lemon or grapefruit, and epsom salt. For a normal person, these can be tolerable. But if you are suffering with acid reflux, this adds to the problem, for the following reasons:

1. Olive oil is fat. Taking a half cup of it (which is usually the recommendation for a successful flush) would put strain on your liver and might lead to an excess of bile being secreted to digest the oil. However, there is greater chance that you might develop bile reflux as well. Not a good thing, based on my experience as revealed in my endoscopy test.

2. Lemon or grapefruit are supposed to be mixed with the olive oil before taking it. Although lemon and grape are alkaline rich foods, for some people it tends to increase the acidity of one’s stomach. Why this happens I have yet to find out. One type of fruit may not have the same compatibility with different individuals. Personally, I stick to apples, bananas, and watermelon, as recommended by my nutritionist.

3. Epsom salt, if taken without taking the necessary precautions, can be harmful more than helpful. This too can cause more acidic problems if you are not careful. The funny thing about what you have just read is that both my traditional doctor and my naturopathic doctor agreed on this. Finally, a point where they can both meet! On a much serious note, this is something that you should consider if you want to naturally cure your GERD or acid reflux.

Botox Or Restylane – Which Dermal Injectable Is Best For You?

A lot of people compare BOTOX to Restylane, but this is really a big mistake. Comparing BOTOX and Restylane is just like comparing apples to oranges. Apples and oranges are edible fruits and that’s just about where the similarities end. Likewise Restylane and BOTOX Cosmetic are both dermal injectables that can help alleviate wrinkles, but that’s all they have in common. How they work and reasons why you would want to use one over the other are completely different. BOTOX Cosmetic immobilizes facial muscles and downsizes wrinkles, while Restylane fills in fine lines and smoothes out creases. Better comparisons might be between other dermal fillers like Restylane vs. CosmoPlast(TM) or Restylane vs. Radiesse®, as dermal fillers have far more similarities. A better way to think of it might be BOTOX Cosmetic vs. dermal fillers, in the end which one is really best at getting rid of wrinkles?

Botox Cosmetic Eliminates Wrinkles but can do so Much More

BOTOX is the fastest growing wrinkle treatment in the world. From toxic roots, BOTOX injections have become as commonplace as going to the dentist. To learn about whether or not BOTOX Cosmetic is for you, you should really little bit about BOTOX itself. BOTOX is a protein derived from the botulism toxin, Clostridium botulinum. Very scientific, but it doesn’t tell us much about it. BOTOX weakens the muscles that cause facial wrinkling, and these fine lines essentially become invisible in less than a week. BOTOX Cosmetic is great for laugh lines, crow’s feet, and forehead creases. What BOTOX can do that dermal fillers can’t is treat hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis, for those of you not in the know, is excessive perspiration or, in other words, sweat. A shot of BOTOX in your under arms can make even the most hectic day cool, calm, and dry, and keep your new cute outfit looking just that. There’s no such thing as a cute stain.

Restylane vs. Juvederm vs. Collagen vs. Radiesse: the Dermal Fillers Duke it Out

Dermal fillers have a few different options as to what they’re composed of, but all dermal fillers mainly do the same things: fill fine lines, add facial curves, and plump lips. I use Restylane as an example because it’s really the hottest flavor of the month. Restylane, Juvederm, and Perlane are all clear gels made from a synthetic hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs in healthy skin. Since hyaluronic acid is found in the body, Restylane has less of chance of causing an allergic reaction unlike bovine derived Collagen (that’s cows, people). However, this is becoming less of an issue because of the development of human collagen based fillers like CosmoPlast(TM) and CosmoDerm(TM). The main difference between BOTOX and Restylane is that BOTOX downsizes wrinkles, while Restylane fills them in. Restylane injections might leave you a little puffy looking, but it could also be the best option for more extensive facial creasing. BOTOX, also, cannot be used on lips like Restylane because of the simple fact that paralyzed lips can make things like talking and not drooling a big issue! Another dermal filler is Radiesse, which contains calcium and phosphate ions, also, naturally found in body, this time in our bones. Radiesse has the added benefit of lasting up to 5 years! Most physicians recommend trying Restylane treatments first before making the big commitment to Radiesse.

NLP Jargon – What Is Uptime?

I’m starting a new line of articles: NLP Jargon. These articles will help you figure out the myriad of terms used by NLP gurus in seminars and in the seminal books of the field.

Our NLP term for today is uptime. I first came across that word when I read Frogs Into Princes for the first time. Grinder and Bandler used it to describe a state of heightened sensory acuity. Let’s explore its meaning in a bit more depth.

You’ll find the term “uptime” used mostly in books about therapy and training. “Uptime” simply means that all of your sensory channels are focused on external stimuli. In simpler terms, you’re paying attention to your surroundings. When you’re in uptime, you pay little attention to internal dialogue, internal visualizations, or internal feelings. You focus on objects around you, micro-movements in people’s facial expressions, sounds in the environment, the temperature of the sun on your skin or the feeling of the wind in your hair.

When you’re in uptime, you perceive the world around you in much greater accuracy and you absorb patterns with much greater facility. Babies live mostly in uptime. When you engage in NLP Modeling, you enter uptime to unconsciously absorb the patterns of excellence you wish to model.

So as you finish reading this article now, you can begin to notice the all the sounds that surround you and the feeling of your weight on the chair. Allow your eyes to unglue from your monitor and begin to wonder how much more you can notice today…

Interesting Facts I Learned About Barbers and Barber Clippers Based on My Readings

Barber clippers are primarily used by barbers and hairdressers.

Barbers and hairdressers are licensed usually in other countries unlike here in the Philippines where barbers can be found anywhere and cut hair without having any license.

In previous times, barbers are also surgeons and don’t just cut hair, they can also shave beard, trim hair, color hair, etc.. They previously act as dentists too. The red and white spiral color in the barber pole signifies their two crafts; red signifies surgery, and white signifies barbering.

It was during the war when the surgeons were paid more and given more emphasis than the barbers because of their importance for the health of those people in the ship.

Henry Martyn Leland invented the electric barber clippers, he also invented the Cadillac which is later bought by General Motors, and the Lincoln which is later bought by Ford Motor Company.

Nikola Bizumic is the one who invented the manual barber clippers in which is an alternative for scissors in cutting hair but is also operated by hand. The use of these manual clippers decreased significantly due to the emergence of electronic barber clippers. these manual clippers has not yet been phased out though for there are still users of these stuff throughout the world.

Matthew Andis built an electronic barber clipper that undergo a wide range of performance test, manufactured a large number of these electronic barber clippers, and he sold it to numerous barber shops throughout Wisconsin. Then after a year, he founded Andis Clipper Company that still operates as a family-owned business today. Andis became a famous brand for barber clippers even up to present.

There are a lot of brands that followed Andis and some has even improved Andis’s design flaws like the Wahl Clippers by Leo J. Wahl and the Oster Clippers by John Oster who owns the famous Oster Classic 76 clippers which is regarded for its durability and interchangeable metal blades or different sizes.

Wahl introduced the Trim and Vac, a beard razor that can be used without a cape since it has a vacuum that automatically absorbs the cut hair giving ease of use for the user.

There are also clippers used for pet grooming particularly dog grooming that has different sizes of blades used for trimming. Different blade sizes determines the length of hair that will be cut from dog’s body. You should not use a barber clipper (used for human) to a dog since pet clippers are custom designed for pets since they have thick fur to protect their body from hot or cold weather and other irritants. This is one reason why pet clippers use more powerful motors and torque than a regular barber clipper.

Barber clippers are widely used to cut human hair and it helps reduce a great amount of time in cutting hair. With faster results, it makes a barber shop businesses more profitable since you can serve more customers.

Professional hair clippers are more expensive than a regular one only because of its durability since it will be used extensively for commercial purposes compared to barber clippers intended only for personal use or home use only.

Barber clippers would usually cost about $25 to about $130 depending on the use of your clipper.

There has been a lot of innovations in the clippers from different companies and it has been really a slugfest between Andis, Wahl, and Oster for the hair clipper manufacturing crown. Sallybeauty.com has been a successful online store for beauty products including hair clippers and care kits for these clippers.

When a clipper is not functioning well, one reason could be that it has not been oiled properly or it has not been used for some time.

You can clean this by removing the screw and putting the blade into a bowl with isoprophyl alcohol.

Afterwards, clean and wipe off the rust or you can use a sharpening stone to sharpen the blade by scratching the blade to the stone going to one direction only.

If your barber clipper blade is cheap, professional sharpening is not advisable but if you have an expensive blade, you can go for professional sharpening for best results.

  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel or juice.

You can also add a teaspoon of black tea or asparagus juice. Refrigerate for 20 minutes, soak a cotton pad in the juice and dab gently around the eyes. You can use fingertips but do not tug skin. Add these oils to this natural serum to make a very potent elixir. Store remaining serum in a cool dark place.

Application: Apply a small amount with fingertips around your eyes on top of the dried tincture and allow it to soak in for a few minutes before applying creams or other products.

This is an excellent serum to apply as a night treatment. Use it every day/night for 5 days (longer if you wish). Vertigo Dizziness Caused By Sinus Pressure Alone

Vertigo is NO fun at all. It’s like being on a nightmarish ride you didn’t ask to go on, and one you can’t get off of.

Sinusitis is usually blamed for vertigo, but inflammation of the para nasal sinuses, due to infection, allergy or a result of autoimmune diseases is NOT the only cause.

Most of the cases of sinusitis are caused, due to viral infection and take about 10 days to heal completely. Depending on the duration, sinusitis can either be acute, sub-acute or chronic.

The interconnected cavities or small air pockets in the facial structure are known as sinuses. These air pockets are found around the nose, the forehead and cheeks.

There are four pairs of sinuses, and are lined inside the cavities and have a protective mucous membrane. So much of the information about vertigo is linked to a sinus “infection.”

Light-Headness and Sinus Pressure Vertigo

Allergies are the most common cause of sinusitis, which further leads to pressure build up and dizziness. The human body consists of many complex systems. It’s the interactions between different systems, that help us to maintain our sense of balance.

The eyes capture different images, they are exposed to, while the inner ear takes care of monitoring our directions and movements. It’s the joints and muscle sensors that gauge the parts of the body which are in motion.

The central nervous system acts like a supervisor, and makes all the other systems work. When any one of the systems face a problem, it can cause vertigo.

Usually, when a person suffers from a sinus infection, it leads to sinus pressure build up in the inner ear, or congestion in the inner ear, causing normal air flow to be disrupted.

This causes the connection to the brain to be disrupted as well. The pressure builds up in the back of the eyes, the roof of the mouth and the inner ear.

Since there’s pressure on the inner ear, the brain processes are not able to ensure normal balance. The person loses equilibrium and becomes off-balance, causing dizziness.

Sinus infection and vertigo go together.

In a respiratory tract infection, if the bacteria or viruses attach themselves to the mucus lining of the sinuses, it may spread to the ear tube and cause an ear infection.

How to Relieve Sinus Pressure and Vertigo:

One remedy for sinus pressure relief is to warm a soft cloth on a hot griddle and apply it to the ear.

A hot shower will also help in draining the mucus, that’s blocking the sinuses and relieve ear pressure. Try to avoid being in a room with cool air.

Taking steam is one of the simplest and the easiest way to relieve sinus. Adding eucalyptus oil or menthol oil will help in getting rid of sinus infection rather faster. One can take steam two to three times in a day for faster relief.

My favorite method helps in clearing up nasal congestion. Saline water has to be passed through the nasal openings for the same. I use a Neti-Pot.

Eating spicy food is known to relieve sinus pressure. Once a person eats spicy food, clogged sinuses will open up and mucus will drain out. Adding ginger, garlic, dried lemon etc. in your diet will also work towards relieving sinus pressure.

When you’re suffering from sinuses, one of the home remedies is to increase the intake of fluids. This helps in diluting mucus and eases pressure on the inner ear.

Having the right sleeping position will not only help in relieving sinus pressure, but will also help in avoiding vertigo. Sleep with your head on an elevation.

If you normally sleep with your head on a pillow, you may want to make use of two pillows.

If you have been suffering from these problems for some time, then you may not want to talk to your health care professional immediately.

Although there is a close relation between sinusitis and vertigo, there are other reasons, which may also cause dizziness. You may want to talk to your health care professional and rule out any other cause of the problem.

According to the University of Michigan Health System, “Sinusitis is a common condition that affects millions of people across the world. Estimated to be as many as 35 million Americans suffer from this disease at that it accounts for at least $2.4 billion in direct medical costs alone.”

Sinus problems can cause a number of symptoms and adverse affects on the body like head pain, a persistent cough and vertigo.

The sinuses purpose is to catch any unwanted airborne particles from entering the lungs. The sinuses are very temporal and can be irritated by change in humidity, allergies or the common cold.

This is what I experience. The change in humidity… specifically a lowering in humidity. Dry air is NOT My friend!

When the sinus cavity is inflamed, it swells to its maximum capacity, preventing normal air flow and abnormal amounts of pressure to build up in and around the sinuses.

This is what has caused my equilibrium to become off-balance, causing vertigo.

To properly treat vertigo caused by sinus pressure, a person first must deal with the sinus issue. If the sinuses are infected, you need to kill the infection.

If the sinuses are simply irritated, an over-the-counter decongestant will help calm the swelling and irritation. Vertigo is no fun, but won’t last if you keep the sinus swelling down.

My recommendation for “drainage of the sinuses or no drainage,” is still to use the Neti-Pot and decongestant, to keep the swelling down.

You may still have some vertigo, but it will go away in 3-5 days if your sinuses are better.

Shag Past and Present – History of This Great Hair Style

The shag hairstyle is a youthful cut where you have short and layered hair. Mostly hair is layered at the crown of the head rather than below. As an option you could add bangs to the cut which you should be able to push off your face. The look should allow you to tuck hair behind your ears and keep them in place with barrettes. Today’s shag could be a variation with more layers towards the bottom of the cut or longer length.

In recent years, the most outstanding and noticed shag hairstyle was Meg Ryan’s in IQ. The flirty short shaggy bobs were a variation which really motivated a number of us youngsters waiting at our stylists with her picture, queuing up for a similar look. Though it may look real neat and trendy, you need a stylist with ‘shear magic and eye for styling’ to get you the right look. He should know exactly where to layer your hair depending in your face and features; where to thin out thick hair and give volume to thin hair. A shag hairstyle is the most versatile haircut giving you the option to style it in two to three different ways! You could add bangs on one side, both sides, keep it long or short, keep it messy, styled or carefree and the best is you can manage them at home without the need to buy every styling product in the market.

Paul McGregor had invented the Shag hairstyle and gave it to Jane Fonda in the movie Klute . Farrah Fawcett wore it in the famous Charlie’s angels television show and it became a phenomenon of sorts. Shag is the classic hairstyle of the ’70s and considered one of the ‘coolest’ as it was worn by the heart throbs of that time. David Bowie, Rod Stewart, everybody who was anybody had the shag hairstyle. During the ’80s, adaptations of the shag hairstyle were worn by the heavy metal rock bands who wore their hair in long shag cuts. The shag hair style was the ultimate unisex style and women and men were both wearing it with élan.

Another theory suggests that in the 1960’s men had begun wearing their hair long after the hairstyle Process brought in the 1920s by the African Americans. In the 1970s when hairstyles were changing and the process style was fading, men were habituated to wearingh their hair long. So, in the 80s, they let their hair grow at the back of the head while keeping them shorter at the top. This was the first form of the shag hairstyle worn by men which was soon adapted into various styles.

The 70s was an era of the youth, the end of the Vietnam War added in making it the turning point for them. Platform shoes, disco dancing and the Beegees; this new found youth was perhaps the reason for the emergence of this carefree, youthful and messy hairstyle- the Shag hairstyle.
